After spending the week showcasing talented musicians, artists and comedians while also throwing the occasional snowball here and there, Monash’s inaugural WinterFest celebrations ended the week’s activities with Friday night fireworks and fire twirlers curtsey of the Monash Club of Juggling and Fire Twirling (MCJAF).

The appropriately named ‘Friday Night Freeze’ celebrations got people moving and jumping with a dodge ball style snowball competition, toboggan slope and bubble soccer. Meanwhile, the braver souls among us took the ice slide challenge to help raise funds for motor neuron disease (MND).

About Carina Florea

First inspired by the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, my interest in photography grew from taking photos of my toys as a child to experimenting with film photography as a teenager. With the spare time I have as a second year arts/science student, I like to go back to using colour and black and white film and also experimenting with human expression and lighting sans instagram filters.
